Introducing: Perspectives of a Teenager

Comments Off on Introducing: Perspectives of a Teenager

As a child, did you ever have to keep something to yourself that you wanted so badly to tell everyone?  Well, let me tell you.  I have been so excited for this day to come because we have some exciting news.  For the last couple of months, we have been working on some big plans for the blog.  We are finally ready to roll out the first part.

As much as we want to feel young at heart, it’s becoming obvious that we aren’t as young as we used to be (our aches and pains remind us daily).  That also means that all of our blog posts, while still written from the Perspective of a Bondservant, are written from the Perspective of an ADULT.  There is an entire segment of our society who may not relate to the blogs.  For that reason, we would like to introduce Perspectives of a Teenager!

This new blog will be written entirely by Christian teenagers.  There are currently four young men who will be writing, and the blog will publish every Friday.  The Perspectives of a Bondservant blog will now begin to post on Mondays, and it will come out only once per week instead of twice.

The first official post will come out next Friday.

So, who exactly are these guys?  Let me introduce them to you.

Adrian Judd

Adrian Hugh Judd is 16 years old and is a homeschooled 11th grader. He is a member of the Main Street church of Christ in Crossville, TN, where his dad is the preacher. After high school he plans on attending Freed-Hardeman University, to obtain degrees necessary to become a licensed professional counselor.  (Adrian is the son of Alan and Amy Judd.)

Anderson Judd

Anderson Dowell Judd is 14 years old and is a homeschooled 9th grader. He enjoys hunting and playing guitar. He is a member of the Main Street church of Christ in Crossville, TN, where his dad is the preacher.  (Anderson is the son of Alan and Amy Judd.)

Joshua Kennedy

My name is Joshua Kennedy. I am a 17-year-old senior seeking to follow Christ to the best of my ability. I am a member of the East Main Church of Christ in Tupelo, MS. I have been blessed to attend congregations of the Lord’s people in Memphis, TN; Jacksonville, AL; Crossville, TN; and now Tupelo, MS. I have had the opportunity to direct a weekend youth camp in Crossville, TN called Outward, and I will be doing it again in Tupelo, MS. I am thrilled to be able to write for a teen-based blog, and I hope that you will gain much comfort and knowledge, not from me, but from God’s Word.  (Joshua is the son of Barry and Berta Kennedy.)

Luke Tatum

Luke Tatum is 17 years old and a senior at Cookeville High School in Cookeville, TN. He has been a member of the band for going on 4 years and a member of the Academic Team for going on 3. His passions include history (especially modern European), music (of all types and genres), and learning (he’s a trivia nerd). His favorite people to be around are his family and his youth group at the Willow Avenue church of Christ. He aspires to be a preacher and/or youth minister after attending college at Freed-Hardeman University.  (Luke is the son of Jeremiah and Amber Tatum.)
