Every once in a while you will get an honest person tell you why most Christians today don’t even go down the road of church discipline: “It doesn’t work.”
God is an amazing helper and master. No matter where we go, He will never turn His back on us.
As Christians, we have made a commitment to God and obedience to His will.
I’m just like you. I’ve heard it a hundred time. But hear me out on this one.
In my mind, when you ran aimlessly, that means you were just flailing around like a newborn giraffe trying to run, like someone who lacked any kind of coordination. However, I don’t think that’s what Paul meant at all.
We’ve all been selfish. Don’t deny it. You know you have, too.
He didn’t tell us to let Him know when things are too tough, and He’ll do it for us. He told us to do it, with His help.
We have strengths, we have weaknesses, and God intended for it to be that way.
Many years ago I heard a story that has stuck with me. I heard it again recently as part of a sermon at our congregation. Please allow me a moment to share it with you.
